Go Stones – Hyuga Okura Beach Clam, Yuki-in (Snow Grade), No. 37 (10.4 mm), with Certificate
¥5,000,000
About the White Stones
The white stones in this set are made from clam shells harvested at Okura Beach in Hyuga, Miyazaki Prefecture. Clams from this location have long been considered the finest material for Go stones, prized for their fine grain, whiteness, and natural luster. Today, these clams are no longer harvested in meaningful quantities. Most white Go stones on the market are now made from Mexican clam shells. Stones made from Hyuga clams represent a small and dwindling supply.
About the Black Stones
The black stones are made from Nachi-kuro, a hard black stone quarried in Nachikatsuura, Wakayama Prefecture. Nachi-kuro has been used for Go stones for generations, valued for its density and quiet sheen.
Certificate of Authenticity
This set comes with a certificate of authenticity confirming the origin, quality grade, and thickness of the stones.
