Pair of Piece Stands

Purpose

These are piece stands for Shogi.
They are used to hold captured pieces during play.

Within the time spent facing the board,
they provide a place for the pieces to rest.

For floor-standing Shogi boards purchased from Kumasu Gobanten,
a pair is included as a standard accessory.

Material

The stands are made of Japanese mulberry wood (kuwa).

They have a calm tone and grain,
supporting the area around the board without drawing attention.

They are not the central element of the setting,
but they form part of the overall playing environment.

Height Adjustment

The height can be adjusted to match the total height of your board (including its legs).
