Kumasu Go Board Studio

Kumasu Go Board Studio was founded in 1955 in Aya Town, Miyazaki, Japan.

We are a family-run workshop specializing in the production and restoration of Go and Shogi boards made from Japanese kaya wood.

Today, the second generation continues the work, preserving traditional techniques such as natural wood drying, careful wood selection, and hand-drawn grid marking.
